Conference Chair
Dr. Bivek Baral is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Kathmandu University and the Managing Director of Kathmandu UniConsult Centre. With a PhD from the University of Auckland and a Master’s from the University of Tokyo, Dr. Baral brings over two decades of academic and research experience in energy systems, combustion science, and sustainable technologies.
He leads the Energy Systems and Technology Research Laboratory (ESTRL), focusing on energy-efficient buildings, electric mobility, thermal systems, and renewable energy integration in Nepal. His pioneering research has guided national projects on clean energy, rural electrification, biomass gasification, and transport emissions. He has collaborated with institutions like WHO, the World Bank, KOICA, and NORAD, and continues to supervise doctoral and graduate students on cutting-edge energy solutions.
A respected scholar and consultant, Dr. Baral combines deep technical expertise with a passion for applied research that improves lives and informs policy. His leadership of the Scholars’ Conference reflects his commitment to academic excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Conference Secretary
With prior leadership in academic event structuring and multi-stream coordination, and having previously served as Secretary of AMES, Mr. Ashutosh Aman brings a systems-driven approach to his role as Conference Secretary for USC 2025. His experience in workflow scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and protocol design informs his efforts to streamline communication, formalize task delegation, and enhance institutional engagement, ensuring USC 2025 is executed with precision and academic integrity.

Technical Management Chair
Mr. Aayush Bhattarai steps into his final year with a clear purpose, to give back to the community that helped him grow. As the Technical Management Chair for USC 2025, he’s taking charge of the systems that keep the conference running behind the scenes.Joyfully ambitious and grounded in his values, he brings a rare blend of technical intellect and human warmth engineering community.

Meet Renish Ghimire, a passionate and dedicated Mechanical Engineering student at Kathmandu University. With a strong interest in research work, Renish is always eager to explore innovative and impactful solutions. As a member of the Technical Management Committee (TMC) for USC 2025, he is excited to support and elevate student ideas that can drive real change.

Registration Chair
Saurav Upadhaya is a passionate and motivated individual with a strong interest in organization, leadership, and teamwork. With a background in engineering and a hands-on approach to learning, he is known for his disciplined mindset, adaptability, and clear communication skills .As the Registration Chair, he is responsible for planning and executing a seamless registration experience—from overseeing participant databases and pre-event coordination to managing on-site check-ins and attendee support.

Arjan has been an active and dedicated member of the AMES community, previously serving as an Executive Member where he played a key role in organizing club activities and technical collaborations. Now stepping into the role of Registration chair, he brings not just experience, but a deep passion for mechanical engineering-especially in the fields of automobiles and renewable energy.

Pulication Chair
Arya Ghimire brings a calm, focused presence to the role of Publication Chair. Inspired by Stoic thought, especially the belief that clarity comes from discipline, she approaches her work with intention and consistency. From coordinating content to final layouts, she ensures every publication reflects the purpose and professionalism of the conference.

Om Bhandari is a dedicated and detail-oriented individual with strong skills in academic writing, formatting, and documentation. His experience in project reports and case studies, along with active involvement in team coordination and publication-related tasks, makes him a strong fit for the role of Publication Chair. He brings both technical understanding and organizational discipline to the position.

Publicity Chair
Ms. Ayushma Chhantyal is serving as the Publicity Chair for USC 2025, bringing with her a strong commitment to effective communication and purposeful outreach. She believes that every strong idea deserves the right platform and presentation. Through this role, she aims to enhance the visibility and engagement of USC, ensuring that the conference reaches and resonates with a broad student community. She looks forward to growing her skills while contributing to the event’s impact and inspiring a wider audience.

Publicity Chair
Subha is a confident, creative and charming individual whose vibrant presence and strong communication skills make him a natural leader. With a passion for design and effective teamwork, he stands out in every role. Currently serving as the Publicity Member for “USC 2025” organized by AMES, he plays a key role in boosting engagement and collaboration.

Corporate and Finance Chair
A Mechanical Engineering student at Kathmandu University with a growing interest in financial management and corporate coordination within academic settings. As an active member of AMES, I have contributed to various student-led events, taking on roles in planning, logistics, and now, sponsorship outreach. I aim to bridge technical knowledge with financial strategy, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and impactful industry engagement in academic initiatives.

Binti Bhandari adds precision, transparency and thoughtful approach to her role as Corporate and Finance chair. With her goal to create a budgeting system that is clear, collaborative and easy to engage with, she values transparency and accountability in every financial decision.

Web Service Chair
Amshu is the quiet powerhouse behind our digital framework — a Mechanical Engineering student with a keen eye for design and detail. With hands-on experience in web handling, video editing, and a deep interest in robotics and rocketry, he brings both creativity and technical insight to the table. From refining visual assets to keeping our online presence smooth and sharp, his calm approach and dedication make him an indispensable part of the team.
